UK OSINT Community CTF / Participation standard

Investigate responsibly.

These rules protect participants, challenge subjects and the integrity of the competition. Failure to follow them may result in disqualification or account removal.

  1. No unauthorised access

    Do not hack, compromise or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, service, device or system that does not belong to you.

  2. Legal and ethical methods only

    All challenges must be solved using lawful and ethical OSINT methodologies. If a technique would be inappropriate in a real investigation, it is inappropriate here.

  3. One account per person

    Each participant is permitted one account only. Creating or operating multiple accounts for the same individual is not allowed.

  4. Collaboration is allowed

    Registrations are for individual users, but participants may work together. You can find other investigators through the UK OSINT Community Discord.

  5. Writeups and spoilers

    Writeups may only be published after at least five full days have passed since the challenge was released. Any published walkthrough must clearly warn readers before revealing solutions, flags or key investigative steps.

The investigation has boundaries.

Stay within the published scope, collect only what is necessary and submit evidence that can be explained and verified.
